Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announce that at approximately 3:44 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 34-year-old female and a 26-year-old male Paterson residents arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Based on the initial investigation it is believed the shooting occurred in the area of Godwin Avenue in Paterson.
Authorities would not say if the shooting is connected to a car crash that occurred at that location.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
