Man Wanted for Robbing Bloomfield Business with Shotgun; Employee Pistol Whipped

Police in Blomfield are on the search for a man who robbed a business in the town using a shotgun on Wednesday.

According to a statement released by police, officers responded to 220 Hoover Avenue (Gerard’s Deli) on report of an Armed Robbery at 6:00 p.m.,

Police say an African American male entered the store carrying a shotgun and threatened the employee for his money.

According to police, the suspect hit the employee over the head with the shotgun and then fled the store in a black Jeep Cherokee operated by another male suspect.

Police say the suspect is described as an African American Male, thin build, 5’7” to 5’8, 155- 160 pounds.

Police said the suspect was a passenger in an awaiting black Jeep Cherokee truck being driven by a second African American male wearing a white t-shirt and tattoo on his left arm.
