Police in Newatk seeks the public’s help in locating Mr. Sayyid Sims, 35, of Newark, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred on Monday, August 27th.
Police say at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers responded to Beth Israel Hospital on a call of a man arriving at the hospital for treatment of gunshot injuries.
Officers say they also observed that the vehicle the victim arrived in was damaged by gunfire.
Doctors treated the victim for his injuries then released him police said.
Detectives investigating this shooting developed sufficient evidence to seek Sayyid Sims for questioning in this incident.
Please live say Sims is described as 5’11” tall weighs 170 lbs., has a medium brown complexion and wears dread locs.
Sims also has facial hair and tattoos on his face according to police.
