A violent incident is under investigation after Newark police responded to reports of gunfire late Monday night.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, officers were dispatched to the area of North Munn Avenue near Tremont Avenue (Bradley Court) at approximately 10:31 p.m. on September 15.
When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.
Authorities have not released additional details, and the motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
The investigation remains active.
