Man Stabbed While Trying to Break Up Fight in Front of Restaurant in Orange

Orange Police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in a section of the city Saturday morning. 

According to a preliminary investigation, just before 1:35 a.m, police responded to reports of an injured person in the 400 block of Valley Street. 

Upon arrival, police found an unidentified man  suffering stab wounds in his stomach at that location. 

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and is reportedly in stable condition. 

Witnesses said the victim was trying to break up a fight that happened in front of the Hat City Kitchen when one of the individuals pulled a knife and stabbed him in the stomach. 

Both individuals fled the scene before police arrived at the location.

Officers located surveillance videos in the area and have launched an active and ongoing investigation. 

There was no immediate information on an arrest.
