EMS transported a man to University Hospital for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds that occurred in a neighborhood in the city during the overnight hours.
Gunfire erupted in the vicinity of 46 Kent Street at approximately 10:50 p.m. sending police to the scene to investigate.
Units arriving at the scene found the victim near the Woodland Cemetary suffering gunshot wounds to the leg and back according to preliminary reports.
Police taped off the area where they searched for other victims and evidence to support a motive.
There were no other injuries reported.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
