Authorities in Paterson are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Monday evening.
According to preliminary reports, gunfire erupted around 6:45 p.m. in the area of Matlack Street and Temple Street, prompting a heavy police response.
When officers arrived, they located an unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center for treatment and is expected to recover, officials said.
Police taped off the area as detectives gathered evidence and searched for suspects.
No arrests have been reported, and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
