Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Deputy Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announce that at approximately 8:51 p.m. Tuesday night, police responded to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, where a 31-year-old Paterson male received treatment for a gunshot wound.
According to police based on the initial investigation, the victim stated he was in a vehicle traveling in the area Arch Street, when a bullet came through the passenger side door and struck him.
Police said in addition, there had been a report of shots fired in the area of Arch Street at approximately the same time and a possible crime scene was discovered in the area of 36 Arch Street.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
