An overnight shooting in Newark left a man fatally injured.
Gunfire rang out at around 4:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Court Street sending EMS to the scene where the male victim was reportedly shot and seriously injured at that location. EMS rushed the man to University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the stomach where he later died.
An investigation is underway.
