Police believe that a man found shot in a section of Hackettstown Saturday night was self-inflicted.
It happened around 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Mountain Avenue.
Police responded to reports of shots fired and when they arrived, they found an unidentified male suffering a single gunshot wound at that location.
Emergency responders provided CPR before the victim was airlifted to Hackensack Medical Center for further treatment.
The incident remains under investigation and no other injuries were reported.
