Authorities are investigating a violent early-morning shooting in Paterson that left one man seriously injured and a suspect at large, officials said.
According to initial reports, the shooting happened shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday in the area of Broadway and Summer Street.
When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his groin.

The victim was rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition.
Police quickly taped off the area while detectives began their investigation.
As of Saturday morning, no arrests had been reported, and the motive behind the attack is still unknown.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said the investigation is active and ongoing.
