According to information released by prosecutors, David J. Arrington, 45, was sentenced Friday to three years in New Jersey State Prison by Superior Court Judge William F. Ziegler as part of a plea agreement.

Court records show that Arrington was involved in multiple incidents over the course of roughly a year.

Authorities said that in July 2024, Arrington shoplifted approximately $209 worth of merchandise from the Burlington Coat Factory in Deptford.

Prosecutors said a second incident occurred in July 2025 at a Walmart in Washington Township, where Arrington allegedly stole a duffle bag belonging to a loss prevention employee.

The bag reportedly contained cash, gift cards and a tablet.

During the investigation, law enforcement officers later executed a search warrant at the Motel 6 in Monroe Township, where Arrington was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Arrington ultimately pleaded guilty and was convicted of one count of third-degree theft, one count of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and one count of fourth-degree shoplifting.
