Man Injured in Overnight Shooting on Trenton’s Hoffman Avenue

Police in Trenton are investigating a shooting that left one man injured early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred just before 12:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Hoffman Avenue. 

A ShotSpotter alert notified officers of possible gunfire in the area, prompting a police response.

 

When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot. The victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment and is expected to recover.

 

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under active investigation. 

No arrests have been made, and police have not released a description of any potential suspect.

 

Investigators are also exploring the possibility that the victim may have accidentally shot himself. However, authorities have not confirmed that theory, and the investigation remains ongoing.
