Newark Police are on the search for a suspect wanted for a shooting that sent a man to the hospital this afternoon.
The incident happened at around 1 p.m. where police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Sunset and Lindsley avenues.
Units arrived to find a male victim struck in the arm by gunfire according to preliminary reports.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where doctors treated the non-life threatening injury.
The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.
There were no other injuries reported.
