Man Injured in Newark South Ward Shooting

Newark Police are looking for two suspects wanted for a shooting that sent a man to the hospital on Thursday evening.

Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose reported non-fatal injuries for the victim who was struck by bullets after gunfire rang out in the 40's block of Van Ness Place at around 5:45 p.m.

EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where he was treated by doctors then listed in stable condition officials said.

Two black male suspects were observed fleeing the scene in a green vehicle, possibly a Honda or Toyota.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
