There were non-life threatening injuries reported in a shooting that happened in the city's South Ward last night.
EMS transported a male victim to University Hospital suffering a gunshot injury to the leg after gunfire rang out in the 90's block of Ridgewood Avenue shortly before 8 p.m.
Police taped off the area and conducted an investigation into a motive for the shooting.
There were no immediate reports of arrests made.
Newark Police are handling the investigation.
