An early morning shooting that injured a man in Jersey City is under investigation.
Police responded to the 100 block of Armstrong Avenue on reports of an injured person at around 12:45 a.m.
Units arriving to the scene located a male victim suffering gunshot injuries to the leg and hip according to reports.
The victim reported to authorities that he was struck by gunfire on Woodland Avenue between Van Cleef Street and Rose Avenue a short time before police arrived.
EMS transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center suffering non-life threatening injuries.
There were no arrests reported.
