A man who walked into a Newark hospital suffering injury from gunfire last night has authorities investigating.
Hospital officials at The Beth Israel Hospital contacted authorities when the man walked into the hospital's emergency room suffering an apparent gunshot injury a little after 7:30 p.m.
The victim reported to authorities that the shooting took place in the area of South Orange Avenue and Sanford Avenue shortly before he arrived to the hospital.
Police canvassed the area and setup a crime scene in the 50's block of Palm Street according to reports.
The man's injuries were not immediately reported as life threatening.
There were no reports of arrest.
