There were non-life threatening injuries reported in a late night shooting that happened in the city.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 300 block of Washington Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. where arriving officers located a male victim suffering injuries from apparent gunfire.
The man was transported to University Hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery.
Newark Police are investigating a motive for the shooting.
There were no reports of arrests made.
