Police are on the scene of a shooting with a male victim down in the city's Central Ward at this time.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 200 block of Court Street (near the Sonic) a little after 3:45 p.m.
Arriving units located a male victim (around the age 26-years-old) struck several times by gunfire at that location.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where he suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and back. His injuries are not reported to be life threatening at this time.
Police located a crime scene near the Sonic restaurant and in the area of Jones Street at South Orange Ave.
A search for the suspect is underway.
UPDATE 4:13 P.M. The victim is in stable condition.
