EMS transported a male victim of a shooting to the hospital a short time ago in Elizabeth.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of First Street and Ripley at around 7:30 p.m. where arriving officers located the victim struck by gunfire according to reports.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark in an unknown condition.
The victim's vehicle was also reportedly struck by gunfire.
There were no reports of arrests.
Elizabeth Police are investigating.
