Police in Paterson are investigating a shooting incident after a male victim arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound early Monday morning.
Shortly before 12:50 a.m., officials at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center notified police that a male suffering from a gunshot wound had entered the medical center seeking treatment.
Officers responded to the hospital and began interviewing the victim; however, authorities have not yet determined where the shooting took place.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has been notified and is leading the ongoing investigation. No additional details were immediately available.
