Man Gets 25 Years for Kidnapping of Perth Amboy Woman

Perth Amboy

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey announced today that a Perth Amboy man has been sentenced to serve 25 years in prison for the 2014 kidnapping of a 24-year-old woman from Perth Amboy.

Francisco Green, 34, was sentenced to serve the 25 year term subject to the No Early Release Act. As such, Green will have to serve 85% of the 25 years in State Prison before becoming eligible for parole.

Green was sentenced on August 11, 2017, after being found guilty on January 25, 2017, after a 7-day jury trial, of kidnapping in the first degree and attempted aggravated sexual assault in the second degree.

Superior Court Judge Benjamin Bucca, sitting in New Brunswick, ordered Green to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law and also ordered that the defendant will be placed on Parole Supervision for Life upon his release from prison.

Green was arrested and charged following an investigation by Detective Marcos Valera of the Perth Amboy Police Department and Detective Robert Torrisi formerly of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
