Police in Newark are looking for the suspect who fired a gun on a street in Newark causing injuries to a man Friday evening.
The shooting happened in the 200 block of South 8th Street at around 7:45 p.m. where according to reports, a short black male suspect, who wore all black, arrived in the area and fired on a man before running from the scene.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg reports said.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
