Police in Newark are investgiating a shooting that injured a male in the city's North Ward on Saturday night.
Gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Stone and Crane streets at approximately 11 p.m. sending several units to the scene where they found a male suffering a non-life threatening bullet wound to his hand at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment then released according to reports.
Police are looking for a male suspect who reportedly fired a gun in the area then fled the scene in a dark-colored 4-door sedan.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
