Passaic County authorities are investigating a shooting incident where a male was found suffering a gunshot wound in Paterson Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the area of Straight Street and Broadway after receiving reports of an injured person at approximately 3 a.m.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering a gunshot wound in his back according to reports.
The victim said suspects fired several rounds in his direction near the Shop Rite on Paulison Avenue in Passaic.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where his injury was not immediately reported as life-threatening.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
