Man Found Shot in Neck During Overnight Incident in West Orange

A man was rushed to the hospital early Sunday morning after suffering a gunshot wound to the neck in West Orange, according to information released by West Orange police.

 

Authorities said emergency dispatch received a call around 2:37 a.m. from the victim, who reported that he had been shot and urgently requested medical help. 

Despite his injuries, the man refused to provide details about how the shooting occurred or identify anyone involved.

 

Responding officers located the victim and confirmed he had been shot in the neck. Due to significant blood loss, he was transported to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center for treatment.
 

Police said no suspect information is currently available. 

The department’s Detective Bureau is actively investigating the case but emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
