Authorities in Union County are investigating a shooting incident that left a male injured inside a vehicle on Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of Union Avenue near Prince Street after receiving reports of an injured person inside a car at around 3:45 a.m.
Police officers and EMS arrived to find a bleeding male suffering a bullet wound at that location.
The unidentified victim was transported to the hospital, where there was no information available on the extent of his injuries.
Authorities are looking into the possibility of a road rage incident that turned to gunfire, but officials have not confirmed the circumstances behind the shooting.
