Police in Newark are looking for a white or light-colored Jeep Cherokee that's occupied by several male suspects who are wanted for a shooting that injured a Man in Newark overnight.
It happened in the 30's block of Van Vechten Street at approximately 1:05 a.m. where police were alerted to reports of shots fired at that location.
Upon officer's arrival, they found an alert and conscious male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where doctors began treating the injury.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
