Elizabeth authorities are investigating a shooting that sent a male to the hospital during the overnight hours.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 9:10 p.m., police were called to the 900 block of Flora Street after receiving reports of an injured person.
Units arrived and were told by the victim that while he exited his car on Florida Street, gunfire rang out and in the area that struck him in the arm.
The victim was transported to the hospital, suffering non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not released the motive for the shooting.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at-large.
