Middlesex County authorities announced today that an investigation is underway for the shooting of a Perth Amboy resident.
Police say at approximately 11:34 p.m. Perth Amboy Police responded to a 911 call regarding a one vehicle crash at the intersection of Hall Avenue and High Street. Upon arrival, officers observed that the driver of the vehicle, Mr. Vidal Carrasquillo-Vasquez, 41, appeared to be suffering from several gunshot wounds.
Police say Carrasquillo-Vasquez was pronounced deceased shortly after.
The official cause of death is pending the results of the autopsy.
The results of which are forthcoming.
