Authorities in Cliffside Park are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in the city overnight.
Reports of suspicious activities in the 500 block of Highridge Ave. had police arrive to the scene at around 10:45 p.m. where they found a male victim suffering injury from gunfire.
EMS arrived to the scene a short time later where they reportedly found the victim suffering a single gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities released very little details on the incident but residents in the area said that they did not hear any shots fired or didn't see any suspicious activities in the area.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Cliffside Park Police Department are investigating the shooting.
