Police in Irvington are looking into the motive for a shooting that injured a male on a street in the Township Monday night.
According to reports, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 634 Chancellor Avenue at approximately 9:44 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found an unidentified male suffering a bullet wound in his chest at this location.
Police say the conscious and alert victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and remains in an unconfirmed condition.
Officers searched the area and were not able to locate any other victims and the suspect remains at-large.
