Police officials in Newark are on the search for a suspect wanted in a shooting that injured a man this evening.
At approximately 8:24 p.m, police responded to reports of shots fired in the 300 block of 16th Avenue.
Police arrived and found a male victim struck by a bullet in his hand.
Police transported the victim to University Hospital, where he is expected to recover.
The suspect sped from the scene in what’s beloved to be a dark-colored Acura TL and remained at large.
The incident is under investigation.
