An investigation is under way into a shooting that left a man injured late last night in Irvington.
Irvington police found the male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the shoulder on South Orange Ave. and Grove Street at around 2:30 a.m. when they reportedly flagged down a University Hospital EMS unit that was traveling through the area.
The victim was transported to University Hospital as was reported as non-life threatening.
The shooting was confirmed to have taken place on the Irvington side.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests reported.
