A 38-year-old Newark resident was supposed to meet a woman he met online Sunday night but instead was shot and robbed in the city, according to police reports.
The victim told police that sometime around 9:30 p.m. he arrived at a Brunswick Street home to meet a woman he had met on Backpage.com.
One of the men fired a shot injuring victim in the right shoulder, according to reports.
The victim's clothes - which contained cash, a cell phone, credit card and other items - were than ripped off and than instructed to leave the apartment.
A short time later, officers found the naked victim in the area of Brunswick Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
The man was transported to University Hospital for treatment.
According to police, victim's coat and other clothing items were found near the scene.
No word if police have made any arrests.
