A convenience store robbery on Wednesday has landed a man behind bars in Perth Amboy. Police responded to reports of an armed robbery at the E-Z Pick Convenience Store located at 279 Smith Street that occurred shortly before midnight.
After a search of the area and investigation, police arrested Elvin Salas, age 22 of 533 High Street, charging him with robbery, unlawful possession of a knife, and possession of drugs. Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Emery Toth at $25,000.00 with no 10% option. Police recovered the proceeds from the robbery.
