Police in Newark checked the vicinity of South Orange and Littleton avenues for a crime scene as they investigate a shots fired incident that left a man injured Tuesday night.
University Hospital officials contacted police when a male victim who suffered gunshot wounds entered the emergency department before 12:30 am
The victim -whose injuries were reported as non-life threatening- told police that the incident occurred at the above address earlier in the evening.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation by Newark Police.
No arrests have been made.
