Man Arrested in New York for Linden Burglary

A Linden man wanted for a February, 2016, burglary of a Miltonia Street home was arrested on Friday in Suffolk County, New York, after a motor vehicle stop by the New York State Park Police.

Jamie A. Estacio, 35, of Linden, was wanted in connection with a February 5, 2016 burglary of a residence on Miltonia Street while the homeowner was out of the country on vacation.

A caretaker came to the house to feed the owner’s cat and found a basement window forced open. He then contacted police.

Detective Kenneth Mikolajczyk conducted a follow up investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Estacio charging him with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. He was entered into the NCIC database as a wanted person.

Estacio was taken to the Suffolk County Jail on Long Island pending extradition to New Jersey.

His bail has been set at $50,000.
