Swift police action in Clifton had cops apprehend a suspect that reportedly robbed the Clifton Savings Bank this morning.
Police were called to the Clifton Savings Bank located in the 300 block of Lakeview Ave. shortly before 11 a.m. after a male suspect walked into the establishment and announced a holdup.
Several police units were called to the bank immediately after the suspect fled on foot and began a search for a black male who was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, black pants, and a dark colored hat. Police caught up with the suspect in the area of Dundee and Lakeview where he was placed in custody.
It is not immediately known if the man was armed with a weapon.
There were no injuries reported.
