Man Accused of Burglary Spree in Bergen, Passaic Arrested

A bicycle-riding man wanted in connection to several burglaries around Bergen and Passaic counties was arrested this morning, according to police.

This morning, James M. Rainsford, 47, was taken into custody and charged with burglary and drug charges this morning.

Sometime around 8:41 a.m. Police responded to Howland Avenue and Spring Valley Road in Paramus, after someone reported Rainsford.

Rainsford at the time of his arrest was in possession of a crack pipe and two flashlights.

Authorities are investigating if Rainsford is also connected with other burglaries including in Little Falls. 

Rainsford was remanded to Bergen County Jail without bail.
