Police in the Bergen County town of Bogota are investigating a shooting incident that injured a person Saturday.
The early morning incident happened around 3:35 a.m. in the area of 140 West Fort Lee Road.
Arriving officers found the victim suffering a non-fatal gunshot wound in his leg. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
While police believe the incident happened in another municipality, they are looking for a silver or light-colored vehicle last observed fleeing the scene towards I-80, according to reports.
The motive for the shooting is under an active and ongoing investigation.
