Police and EMS are on the scene of a shooting with a male victim down in Newark’s South Ward.
At approximately 8:15 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of 10 Huntington Terrace.
Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering gunshot wounds at that location.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital for treatment and his condition is unknown at this time.
Police have not announced an arrest.
UPDATE 8:49 PM The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has been notified and are responding. “Grave injuries reported.”
