Police in Jersey City are investigating a shooting that occurred in a Jersey City neighborhood on Saturday night.
The incident was reported in the vicinity of Fulton and Garfield avenues at around 10:05 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the back.
The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where doctors began treating his injuries. The extent of the victim's injuries were not released.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
There were no arrests reported.
