Police in Newark are reporting non-fatal injuries for a male shot in the city’s South Ward on Sunday.
The early morning shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. near 115 Elizabeth Avenue, where police found the victim suffering gunshot injuries.
Police say he was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is stable.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been reported.
