Male Injured in Alexander Street Shooting in New Brunswick

In New Brunswick, police are on the search for suspects responsible for a shooting that caused injuries in a section of the city Sunday night.

Police say that at approximately 9:35 p.m., gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Alexander and Somerset streets, sending police to the scene to investigate.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim suffering bullet wounds at that location. 

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment in stable condition. 

Police say the suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
