Police in Paterson are investgiating an overnight shooting that occurred on a street in the city Saturday morning.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 49 Bergen Street at around 2:20 a.m.
Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering a bullet wound in his leg at that location.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he received treatment for the injury and is in stable condition according to police.
The motive for the shooting has not been released at this time.
