Male Found Shot in New Brunswick

​Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. Caputo of theNew Brunswick Police Department announced today that authorities are investigating a shooting that took place earlier today in the area of Phelps Avenue in New Brunswick.

Police said at approximately 11:37 a.m., New Brunswick police officers responded to the area of the Tov Manor Apartments in response to a non-fatal shooting.

Upon their arrival, authorities found a male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.  

The victim was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital.  

Police said, at present, the shooting does not appear to be a random act.
