Police in Newark are looking into the motive behind a shooting that sent a male victim to the hospital on Monday night.
Authorities said Newark Police officers responded to reports of shots fired on Hunterdon Street shortly before 11:25 p.m.
When officers arrive at the scene, they found the unidentified victim struck by bullets in his leg.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
Police have not announced an arrest for the shooting at this time.
