Police in Jersey City are investigating an overnight shooting that left one person injured.
According to preliminary information, officers responded to the area of Clinton Avenue and Grand Street shortly after midnight Sunday after receiving reports of gunfire.
A male victim was reportedly found suffering from a gunshot wound. Jersey City Ceasefire was notified and responded to the scene.
The victim’s condition was not immediately available, and authorities have not released information regarding a possible suspect or motive.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
